The Israeli Face Database (“IFD”) was developed at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev by Dr. Niv Reggev and Prof. Carmel Sofer and at Haifa University by Prof. Bat-Sheva Hadad. The database is intended for use in scientific research only.

 

The database includes face images of real individuals of people residing in Israel. The database features multiple highly controlled images per face identity, presenting several facial expressions. Additionally, the database provides detailed demographic data on the face identities, expression validation data rated by Israeli participants, and social norming data rated by both Israeli and U.S.-based participants.

Please note that we informed volunteers that their photographs would be shared with others for research use without any accompanying personal information.
